Asbestos Exposure In The Workplace
Most American workers of the twentieth century understood the risks associated with their individual jobs and the exposure that some products, deemed “hazardous”, had to their health and well-being. Unfortunately, many American companies didn’t always feel the same way about protecting its labor force and establishing health and product handling guidelines, with products like asbestos known to them as presenting a health risk. Consequently, 100’s of thousands of workers were exposed to asbestos and asbestos laden products, while employers and manufactures knew of the health risks, but put profit ahead of safety. We have tried to identify most of the jobs and occupations where asbestos exposure posed its greatest risk.
